This research topic examines how cybersecurity is shaped and constrained by policies, business practices, and international legal systems. It focuses on the development and enforcement of cybersecurity regulations, data protection laws, cross-border compliance requirements, and industry-specific standards. Areas of interest include cyber risk governance, regulatory frameworks like GDPR and NIS2, legal attribution of cyberattacks, and the role of international cooperation in combating cybercrime. Research also explores how businesses align security strategies with legal obligations and how global policy landscapes influence the design of secure, ethical, and accountable digital systems. This area plays a vital role in bridging technical solutions with societal, legal, and economic realities.
