UQ Cyber Security Research Conference (CSRC 2026)

Welcome

We extend our warm welcome to you for the fourth annual UQ Cyber Security Research Conference 2026.  

This conference represents a notable accomplishment in the field of cyber security research & development at UQ, bringing together researchers, students, practitioners, industry experts, and policymakers to exchange insights, explore emerging technologies and methodologies, and establish new partnerships.  

Cyber attacks can have serious consequences, ranging from financial losses to damage to our critical infrastructure, and even to threats to national security. This is precisely why events such as this conference hold tremendous significance. By convening preeminent researchers, HDR students, practitioners, industry experts, and policymakers from UQ and around the world, we possess an exceptional prospect to learn from each other, share ideas, and collaborate on innovative solutions to the challenges we face.  

This year, the conference will highlight UQ Cyber's partnerships and collaborative initiatives with organisations across different countries and regions. We have invited our international industry partners to share insights into cybersecurity developments, challenges, research priorities, and future directions in their respective countries. This provides valuable networking opportunities and a platform to explore future international collaborations. We have also invited UQ academics and researchers to present their latest work in the field of cybersecurity. In addition, local industry professionals will discuss current cybersecurity challenges, including cyber scams and cybersecurity issues in the banking sector.
