International Cybersecurity Championship 2026
The fifth ICC event in 2026 will be hosted by UQ in May 2026!
This global event will see teams from Oceania, USA, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Canada compete in Gold Coast, Australia in May 2026, during the annual AUSCERT 2026 Conference. More details will be published in September, in the AUSCERT 2026 webpage! Organised by the ICC Steering Committee comprising European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), PlayCyber (Katzcy) for US Cyber Team, The University of Queensland (UQ) and other cybersecurity organisations from across the globe, the event is the “World Cyber Cup”.
Teams representing global regions travel to this multiday event to compete in challenges related to web application and system exploitation, cryptography, reverse engineering, hardware challenges, and attack/defense.

International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) Australia 2026
ICC Australia will take place on the following dates and venue. This will be the first time the ICC will be held in Australia.
Date: 18-21 May 2026
Venue: STAR Hotel Gold Coast, Australia
Building on a Successful Track Record
Team Oceania have competed in this global cyber competition since its inception in 2022.
● 2022 Greece – 4th place
● 2023 USA – 2nd place
● 2024 Chile – 3rd place (2nd in Attack/Defence CTF)
In 2025 the team aims to build upon this success by striving to achieve a first overall placing.
