International Cybersecurity Championship 2025
The International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) is designed to attract top talent and raise global awareness of the power of games to upskill the cybersecurity industry. Through its exciting, competition-based forum, the ICC helps individuals further their cybersecurity education and skills. The International Cyber Security Challenge (ICC) event is the first global Capture the Flag event (CTF) designed to raise awareness, upskill and test young cybersecurity talent on the global stage. Organised by the ICC Steering Committee comprising European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), PlayCyber (Katzcy) for US Cyber Team, The University of Queensland (UQ) and other cybersecurity organisations from across the globe, the event is the “World Cyber Cup”. The fourth ICC event in 2025 will see teams from Oceania, USA, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Canada compete in Japan in November. ICC is designed with three primary components. The first is a speaker session showcasing top leaders in Cybersecurity Games and Exercises from around the world. The second is the hands-on expo of cyber games, immersive training, and exercises. Finally, the program includes the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC), a cybersecurity competition featuring global teams (27 years and younger) for young promisig talents. The cybersecurity tournament is composed primarily of capture-the-flag and attack-and-defend games. It is an annual challenge that moves from country to country each year and is organised by various hosts, the ENISA International Cybersecurity Challenge Program (ICC). Teams representing global regions travel to this multiday event to compete in challenges related to web application and system exploitation, cryptography, reverse engineering, hardware challenges, and attack/defense.
