Event Overview

The TechX Summit 2024, in collaboration with Milipol Asia-Pacific, the International Homeland Security Exhibition, is proud to present the AI-CTF (Capture The Flag) challenge. This event is designed to bring together the brightest minds from around the globe to share ideas on leveraging science and technology for public safety and security.

Theme: AI in Homeland Security

Date and Time: 3-5 April 2024, 9am – 6pm

Location: Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands Singapore, 10 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018956

Teams: 4 persons per team

The AI-CTF challenge will engage participants with tasks in Digital Forensics, Threat Hunting, and the analysis of IoT devices. These challenges aim to incorporate AI knowledge and technical skills to address a cyber-attack scenario impacting public safety and security infrastructure.

Programme Highlights

  • Day 1 (3 Apr): The program starts with the HTX AI Capture-the-Flag competition organized by SANS.
  • Day 2 (4 Apr): Activities include an AI-CTF Workshop and an Adversarial AI workshop by Will Pearce.
  • Day 3 (5 Apr): The final day features SANS Talks, sharing insights on AI for CTIH by HTX, a Homeland Security talk by Rob T Lee, and other topics by distinguished speakers from MITRE and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Participants will gain insights into the benefits and challenges of integrating AI into homeland security, network with field experts, and explore innovative solutions to enhance security and response capabilities.

Achievement

Our team, consisting of Joshua Scarsbrook, Duke Erdenebat, SiJing Zheng, and Emily Trau, with Prof. Ryan Ko as coach from UQ Cyber, participated in the competition and secured 4th place out of 29 contesting teams.
